Description

In this course, learners will learn how to install the Secure Terminal Equipment (STE), perform Terminal Privilege Authority (TPA) functions, user functions as well as how to associate KSV-22 crypto cards.

Objectives

  • Install, program and operate an office STE
  • Perform TPA functions
  • Instruct others in the use of the STE

Target audience

Government of Canada (GC) personnel who are responsible for the installation and use of the STE.

Prerequisites

It is highly recommended that participants have a good understanding of COMSEC COMSECCommunications security (COMSEC) is the discipline of preventing unauthorized access to telecommunications information in readable form, while still delivering the information to the intended recipients.   • A basic understanding of keys (asymmetric keys, in particular), and the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) would be an asset. Departments whose employees are using the STE would benefit from this course.
