Description
In this workshop, you will learn about the security challenges concerning the domestic Internet of Things (Iot) devices. We will also talk about what constitutes an Iot device, what are the advantages of the IoT and what characteristics can be found on an IoT device. Most importantly, you will learn about tools and best practices to secure your IoT devices.
Objectives
- Identify the characteristics of an Internet of Things (IoT) device
- Explain why securing IoT devices is challenging
- Apply countermeasures to common IoT vulnerabilities
Prerequisites
Prior to attending, it would be beneficial for participants to take course 602: Discovering cyber security.
