Description

This self-paced elearning course was designed to address the rapid advancements in road transportation technology and the cyber security implications for the integration of traditional Traffic Management Systems (TMS) with emerging Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). Participants will explore the convergence, interoperability, and integration of ITS technology, and the enhanced connectivity driving this transformation. Upon completion of this training, participants will have the foundational cyber security knowledge needed to navigate and secure increasingly interconnected transportation infrastructure.

Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, the participants will be able to:

  • define cyber security for ITS
  • recognize cyber security threats for ITS
  • list practical cyber security best practices for ITS

Target audience

The target audience for this course is all Canadian Infrastructure Owners and Operators (IOO) personnel.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Final Exam

This course requires participants to complete and pass an exam with a grade of 70%. The exam may be attempted as many times as needed to meet the passing grade.
