On 17 July 2019 Cisco released several security advisories to address multiple vulnerabilities affecting Cisco products. Of note is a critical vulnerability, identified as CVE-2019-1917, in the REST API interface of the Cisco Vision Dynamic Signage Director which could allow a remote, unauthenticated actor to execute arbitrary actions with administrative privileges on the affected system. This vulnerability could be exploited by sending a specially crafted HTTP request through the REST API.
