Apple security updates

Purpose

The purpose of this advisory is to bring attention to recently released security updates by Apple.

Assessment

Apple has released a security update for Boot Camp 6.4.0 which addresses a Wi-Fi vulnerability which could allow a remote unauthenticated user to obtain sensitive information.

Affected products using Boot Camp 6.4.0:

  • MacBook (Late 2009 and later)
  • MacBook Pro (Mid 2010 and later)
  • MacBook Air (Late 2010 and later)
  • Mac mini (Mid 2010 and later)
  • iMac (Late 2009 and later)
  • Mac Pro (Mid 2010 and later)

Suggested Action

CCIRC recommends that system administrators test and deploy the vendor-released updates to affected applications accordingly.
