On 12 February 2019, Red Hat, Ubuntu, Debian and Amazon web Services released security advisories to address a vulnerability in runc. This is the underlying container management tool used by multiple containerization software such as Docker, Kubernetes and others. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to take control of an affected system.
CCCS recommends verifying OS and application vendors for patches as they become available. CCCS also encourages users and administrators to review the following Security Advisory webpages and apply the necessary patches:
