On 16 July 2019 Microsoft released a security update to address a vulnerability which could allow an actor to bypass a security feature in the Windows Defender Application Control. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could circumvent PowerShell Core Constrained Language Mode on the affected system.
This vulnerability affects PowerShell Core 6.0 and PowerShell Core versions prior to 6.1.5 and 6.2.2.
