Purpose

The purpose of this advisory is to bring attention to the monthly Microsoft Security Bulletin Summary for October 2016.

Assessment

The summary covers 10 bulletins (5 Critical, 4 Important and 1 Moderate), which addresses multiple vulnerabilities in Microsoft Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Graphics Component, Microsoft Video Control, Adobe Flash Player, Windows Kernel-Mode Drivers, Windows Registry,  Diagnostics Hub, and Microsoft Internet Messaging API.

Suggested Action

CCIRC recommends that system administrators test and deploy the vendor-released updates to affected applications accordingly.
